Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She competes currently with the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina is her younger sister, as well as a fellow UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko first began combat sports as an Muay Thai kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut at her first IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals by unanimous decision. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing and came back against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui by an unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in a unanimous decision. After leaving the league in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body in the clinch. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina was given an UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight after winning the first bout by a unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. She was awarded the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner in her next 3-fights she lost to Ariane Lipski before losing to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina suffered a loss to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
