Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty born October 1st of 1995 in Berkeley California USA. Her work includes actress for Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2007) and Chrissie mayr's Content House 2022.

Asia Argento was raised in Rome with a film and actor family. The two professions she chose to pursue were her own. Her first film came out when she was only nine years old in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni In 1988 she played the lead role in Cristina Comencini's debut film, Zoo, and was one of the actors in The Church directed by Michele Soavi. Red Wood Pigeon, the film in which she starred as Nanni Moretti's little daughter came out a year after. It came from Close Friends by Michele Placido which saw Asia's acting career explode. The film was highly acclaimed at the Cannes International Film Festival. The film was made with her father for the the first time Trauma which was directed by the acclaimed Italian director of horror, Dario Argento. Her mother, Daria Nicoleli, is Argento's favourite actress, as she portrayed an orexic looking to find the killer of her parents. Asia was a part of Dario's Phantom of the Opera, the third film she directed alongside her dad. Two of them were Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. In 1993, Asia co-starred as Arianna an disabled girl in the film Perdiamoci by Carlo Verdone di vista. This was a challenging and demanding character that she was awarded her the David di Donatello. In 1995, she starred alongside Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio which again earned her the David di Donatello and an award of Grolla oro. Asia began directing in 1994 and released two short films and an episode from the film De Generazione. In 1996 she directed an documentary on her father. She also produced AbelAsia which was a documentary about the famous director Abel Ferrara. In 1998, Asia directed AbelAsia, which won awards by the Rome Film Festival. Asia began directing her first feature film in 1999. The film was Scarlet Diva. In this film, she was the lead actress and also directed the script. The movie was released on May 20, 2000 across Italy as well as in various different countries. The Williamsburg Festival for Films in Brooklyn, New York awarded it with a top prize.
